Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an un-curable disease. Millions of Canadians face an ongoing struggle to manage blood sugar levels, balancing food intake with constant insulin injections.
As some may know, I am also a type 1 diabetic and I’m no stranger to the daily routines and disciplines required to control this disease.
I’m sending out this email because I was impressed with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) as an organization and how far we’ve come along in finding a cure to this disease. JDRF is also engaged in helping those living with T1D today to live healthier, easier, and safer lives until a cure is found.
As a JDRF ambassador on the Capital campaign cabinet, I’m proud to be part of the team including The Very Honorable Brian Mulroney, NHL player Max Domi and many others who have been touched by the disease. With a recent government campaign and continuous massive effort, we are now closer than ever to solving the diabetes puzzle.
The following page describes just some of the research being funded by JDRF, from a Find a Cure standpoint:

I look forward to giving you updates and keeping you informed on how you can help this wonderful team turn type one into type none. You can always contact me if you wish to discuss.
Thank you,
Nader
